The Men's Flower Team Captain [Fencing]

Career storyline:

Zhou Chi, a former men's foil world champion, is facing retirement due to injury.

Coach An puffed on a cigarette and said earnestly, "Xiao Zhou, how about... trying your left hand?"

Zhou Chi said, "Coach, my right hand is world-class. My left is kindergarten-class."

Coach An said, "That's why you need to train it! Think about it: once those foreigners have figured out your right-handed style, you suddenly switch to your left. Wouldn't that be a surprise? Wouldn't that catch them off guard?"

Zhou Chi thought it was a terrible idea.

Until he discovered...

Beating up rookies with his left hand was seriously satisfying!

And his left hand seemed even more rebellious than his right, always jabbing from angles his opponents would never expect.

And so, a bizarre sight appeared in the fencing world:

World champion Zhou Chi started leveling up all over again, beginning in the "children's division."

His opponents went from sympathetic to confused, then from confused to horrified.

"Wait, why is his left hand faster than my right?!"

"I thought this was rehab! This is freaking evolution!"

Zhou Chi wiped down his sword, looking innocent. "I really just wanted to try it."

His left-handed sword was quietly pointing toward the Olympic podium.

Romance storyline:

As soon as Zhou Chi moved out, Ye Ming moved into his dorm, took his place at the fencing strip, and claimed his seat in the cafeteria.

Zhou Chi thought Ye Ming was competing with him, fighting over resources, status, and everything else.

Later, Zhou Chi finally understood.

Ye Ming wasn't competing for resources.

He was competing for Zhou Chi.

Like an abandoned puppy, he frantically wanted to collect every trace of him, every trace of his scent.

P.S.:

Cool-headed, clever foil-fencing gong VS an obsessive powder keg of a sabre-fencing shou.

They're childhood friends. The shou is utterly devoted to the gong, but he's also infuriating. He blows up in anger every time, then is the first to bow his head and apologize.

Theme: How to gracefully accept loss and allow yourself to be reshaped by love.
