Abandoned Preorders

Zhou Chi had moved into the school dormitory for barely a month, and hadn't even finished the retirement process, when Ye Ming took over his single room in the training camp, his usual champion's fencing strip, and even his regular seat in the cafeteria.

As Zhou Chi carried out the last of his belongings, he saw Ye Ming staring at him with dark eyes, saying nothing. Once Zhou Chi was gone, a loud crash came from the dorm as a table was kicked over.

Ye Ming was harshly scolded by the coach for it, but only hunched his shoulders and kept quiet.

It wasn't until the coach said to Zhou Chi, "Come back as an assistant coach for now. We can put off your retirement a little longer."

At that moment, Zhou Chi saw Ye Ming, who had kept his head bowed, suddenly lift it. His eyes shone with an almost frightening brightness as he stared straight at him.

Later, Zhou Chi really did become Ye Ming's assistant coach. The two argued furiously in front of everyone, and Ye Ming even tore up Zhou Chi's training plan in public. "What gives a useless loser like you the right to coach me?"

Just when everyone thought the two of them would fight to the bitter end,

Ye Ming cornered Zhou Chi in the rehabilitation room and stroked the old injury on his knee again and again. His eyes were filled with a madness and pain he'd never shown before.

"...Teach me.

How can I stop loving you, or... how can I help you fly again?"

PS:

Clever, level-headed foil-sword gong VS obsessive, explosive greatsword shou.

They've been childhood friends. The shou is madly in love with the gong, but he's also infuriating. He blows up every time, then is the first to apologize.
