[You are one of the F4 in a story set at an aristocratic academy, a dashing playboy. Neglected because your parents are divorced and neither spends time with you, you live for fun and treat romance as a game, never giving anyone your heart.]

[But the days are peaceful and dull, as lifeless as stagnant water. Then a newly admitted scholarship student drops into the lake like a pebble, sending ripples across the surface.]

[You discover, to your surprise, that your friends have started spending more and more time with one particular scholarship student, the protagonist shou. At first it's just one of them, then two, then all three are drawn to him.]

[You get curious. With no conscience between you, you bet that you can win over the scholarship student within a month, then, once he's fallen for you, dump him without mercy for the sake of the bet. This will set him on course to meet the true protagonist, the cold, domineering F4 leader gong, and become the catalyst for the beginning of their relationship.]

He doesn't take the task seriously. He jokes and bickers with the other F4 members, while also following the script and pursuing that "tough little weed" shou.

But the plot goes galloping off like a horse that's thrown off its reins.

Reader's Guide:

1. Although the story is structured as quick transmigration, I only have inspiration for the first world in the synopsis, and haven't written the later worlds.

2. The shou is a promiscuous scumbag and is not pure. There may be one-sided heartache on the gong's part, and the ending may not be a happy one. The shou may simply be happy on his own, still living carefree. ♥ I write for fun and because it's my thing.

3. The gong is pure in both body and heart, and there will be no flirtation between gongs. I personally can't stand a shou who tops a gong, so I won't write that. If you like a gong topping a shou, then enjoy it, okay!

4. This is a story about someone adored by everyone, and everything serves my preferences. There will be lots of descriptions of appearances.

I got a case of the mother complex, so I wrote this.

Ye Zhao is a kind office worker with a modest amount of savings. He jumps into a river to save a drowning child, but when he climbs out of the riverbed, everything around him has changed.

Ye Zhao stares at the unfamiliar world, bewildered.

Before he can react, a group of strange-looking people appear before him. A snake tail coils around him, and they seize him and lock him up in a research institute.

Ye Zhao finally realizes that he has transmigrated!

From what he can tell, this is a world polluted by monsters. Humanity has been contaminated by genetic pollution and is heading toward extinction, while plants and animals have mutated and taken over this blue planet.

They call themselves the New Humans.

He was captured because he looks too much like the legendary Old Humans.

Ye Zhao: "..." Are you insane?

This is really urgent. How do I prove I'm not an Old Human?

Ye Zhao is forced to undergo more and more experiments, each test report more detailed than the last.

Worst of all, "they" seem to have decided to dissect him for the sake of the New Humans' future!

What future?

All Ye Zhao can see is a bleak road ahead.

He grits his teeth and calmly tries to think of a way out. As he is caught while escaping, a strange tentacle smashes through layer after layer of walls.

Eyes of different sizes are embedded between its suckers, and a split mouth gapes at the end of the tentacle... Ye Zhao catches only a fleeting glimpse before the mental shock knocks him down.

When he wakes up, the research facility has been completely destroyed. Among the piles of rubble lies a tiny octopus-person?

About the size of a baby.

It has a human head, which is much too large in proportion to its body, and a thin, long neck that droops helplessly to one side, unable to support the weight. Its lower half is made of tentacles of uneven lengths.

It's seriously sanity-draining.

It's on the verge of death.

Unable to bear leaving it behind, Ye Zhao picks it up and takes it with him, since he's become a test subject too.

Perhaps because Ye Zhao saved it, or perhaps because he was the first thing it saw when it opened its eyes, the octopus seems excessively attached to him.

It stretches out its tentacles to cling to him, its suckers sticking to sensitive spots. It opens its pitch-black eyes and its mouth full of sharp teeth, then calls him, "Mommy."

Ye Zhao is too frightened to think straight. "I'm your big brother."

The octopus grows quickly. In just a week, it's as tall as a three-year-old human. Thinking about his swollen chest, Ye Zhao finally lets out a breath of relief. He should be able to release it into the wild now.

But this world is dangerous everywhere, especially for someone with his human identity. Ye Zhao is so frail that not even a temp agency will hire him! Then, after an accident, he discovers that even after the octopus's tentacles fall off, they can still move and obey his commands.

With no other choice, he uses the tentacles to disguise himself and provide for them. Once he has earned enough money and their life has stabilized,

Ye Zhao grits his teeth and sends the octopus to school.

But on the very first day back, it calls him "Mommy" again.

Ye Zhao is devastated and exasperated. He worked so hard to correct it.

He's its big brother!

And so, a human and an octopus make a life together.

Apart from the octopus occasionally being too clingy and sucking his chest until it swells, it really does treat him like its mother.

Until Ye Zhao discovers a secret: the octopus he's raising seems to like him. Its diary is filled with clingy, unsettling words that Ye Zhao can't accept.

"Mommy, why do you look at other people? Why can't you keep your eyes on me? ... I want to tie a knot between the two of us with my tentacles. Would Mommy struggle? Be surprised? Think I'm disgusting? Get angry? Mommy would be so cute like that, too... I want you so badly... I want to be tangled up with Mommy for all eternity."

What are you doing? I worked so hard to convince myself to raise the octopus as my child. I even bought all those parenting books. I was taking childcare seriously... So how did I raise it wrong?

And I've told you countless times! I'm your big brother!

Ye Zhao is utterly distraught. With no other choice, he can only quietly distance himself little by little.

The octopus swings its countless tentacles, cleaning every speck of dust from the forty-square-meter room. Mommy really hasn't been good lately. He won't take his tentacles to work, won't eat the food they've cooled for him, and has been getting closer and closer to his coworkers.

His skin is snow-white and delicate, as fragile as if he could break at a touch. He has no weapons to protect himself, yet he's bold enough to wander alone among countless New Humans. Doesn't Mommy know how they look at him?

If it weren't for his tentacles the last time, and the time before that, he would have become someone else's mommy.

The octopus: Eat, go to school, and do two things at once. Use my tentacles to beat up cold-blooded monsters who covet Mommy. Every day, I work hard to grow up and take care of Mommy.
