My Neighbor Is a Miss from a Ghost Story

I am a down-on-his-luck foreign painter. In search of inspiration, I drifted to an island nation and moved into an old apartment building.

On the first day after I moved in, a “person” knocked on my door.

“Knock, knock, knock.”

Strange. The landlord clearly said I was the only one living in this building.

I opened the door, and that was how I met her: my neighbor, Miss Sakurako.

She is the most wonderful person in the whole world! (I am not exaggerating.)

By day, she is like a lilac blossom, drifting through the empty corridors and wandering down quiet alleys.

At night, she is always finding ways to enrich herself, studying all sorts of instruments she is bad at. She even often comes by to check on the daily life of a strange man like me.

Ah, she really is a wonderful person. Perhaps she noticed how gloomy I was today and deliberately put on ugly makeup.

It doesn't matter. In my eyes, she is still the most beautiful person in the world. I will paint her portrait. I have a feeling it will be a masterpiece for the ages!

I am a rather famous ghost story in this island nation.

Recently, a new neighbor moved in next door. His name is Louis Ang.

He is such an idiot.

At first, I tested him. Because of the strange aura about him, I suspected he was an exorcist.

Once I learned he wasn't, I took advantage of my identity to scare him, hoping to feed on his strength.

In the middle of the night, I knocked on his door, stood there with my hair wild and my face covered in blood.

But all the things I had so carefully planned fell apart the moment he opened the door.

He actually smiled and said to me, “Miss Sakurako, you look beautiful today!”

What a disgrace for a ghost!

I won't rest until I scare him!
