Contraband

Mischievous, flirtatious girl × hot-tempered, terrible older brother

The first time Chen Youning was hit by her brother was when he caught her sneaking a cigarette.

Chen Ye didn't just put out her cigarette; he threw the whole pack in the trash and threatened to break her legs if he ever saw one at home again.

From then on, cigarettes became forbidden in the Chen household.

-

Many years later.

A light rain fell, and white smoke lingered in Chen Ye's bedroom.

“Brother.”

Chen Youning pushed open his bedroom door and stood by the doorframe, staring at him.

She saw the ashes from his cigarette fall onto his fingers, a few flecks scattering, with a scarlet ember glowing like a surging tide.

The milky-white smoke curled like a winding thread connecting the two of them, one end with her, the other with him.

Chen Youning tugged at the thread and smiled.

“You broke the rules.”

The brother and sister are not related by blood, and their relationship does not cross the line while they are minors.
