Food containers had been appearing outside Zhou You's door with increasing regularity lately.
At first they came with breakfast. Later, they started showing up when he got home in the evenings, too. Every time he tried to refuse, the other person would insist he eat it all, so Zhou You had no choice but to bring a little something in return whenever he returned the containers.
The neighbors across the hall exchanged gifts back and forth, and gradually grew closer.
Until one day, the only gift Zhou You had left to offer was a bunch of sunflowers he'd just bought.
Carrying the food container, Zhou You knocked on the door across the hall. The singing was exuberant, and that head of curls was just as it had been the first time they met. Zhou You stared at Ming Yu, momentarily lost in thought.
"Teacher Zhou? Are these for me?"
"I picked them up on the way."
Watching his curls droop, Ming Yu said plaintively, "I thought if I won Teacher Zhou's stomach first, I could win his heart, too."
Zhou You couldn't bear to disappoint him, and gave a soft hum.
"Hmm?"
"You won."

The comments section was buzzing beneath the first new video from food blogger Little Fishy Fishy after a long break.
[Grandma, the blogger you follow finally posted again!]
[This little fish actually came back. I've watched the eating videos so many times they're practically worn smooth.]
[Is no one noticing the blogger's new title?]
[My gaydar is going off.]
[That hand at 5:21. I bet his cooking smells amazing (smirks).]
[Please show the cooking process. No voice-over, just a cooking tutorial...]
The comments section was lively, but Ming Yu didn't see any of it.
Because the hand that had caused all the commotion in the comments was currently wandering over his body.
Ming Yu looked at him and felt something was missing.
"Where are your glasses?"
"Should I put them on?"
"Mm."
Watching him put on his gold-rimmed glasses, Ming Yu kissed him passionately. This was exactly how he'd imagined him when they first met.
Note:
[Short, everyday-life story]
[A heartwarming winter sweet treat]
May good fortune accompany you: Go See You
Theme: Food is the one thing we must never let down
Baby, don't be too anxious. New articles may have a little traffic at the beginning, but they will pick up gradually! This setting feels very attractive [Spread Flowers] Plus everyone may prefer to read the ending 🐶 I just saw the tweet and came here, many people are squatting to finish it [Hug Hug]
Little curly chef, I understand you 😭
Isn't it a bit ambiguous [covering face and peeking]
The behavior and psychology of the characters are very natural. It should be a good novel.
It's a good light short story. The writing is very smooth. There aren't many twists and turns in the plot and there aren't many complicated people and things. It's an easy and mindless read.
Finished reading! It's so short and sweet, but I actually feel like there's a lot more to write about and it just ended like this 😣 😣 Looking forward to the extra chapter! I want to see my parents and travel together
Hey, I thought Yang Lin knew this a long time ago. Didn't he give some ideas before? I was so surprised to know that I was in love
"Seeing that he has calmed down, I went around to..." This is a big bug for the author~ Is there something wrong here? Didn't I say Zhou You is a junior high school teacher?
"That cell phone took a picture of the whole family..." This is a big bug for the author~ take
""This is the right thing, neighbor..." This is a big bug for the author~ Where does it come from
