Guiding, loyal-dog top x beautiful, avoidant researcher bottom
A marriage-first, love-later story.
Synopsis:
1.
Xia Luo is the least loved adopted son of the Xia family. To the family, he's nothing more than a tool for a political marriage.
At twenty-six, he's forced into a marriage alliance with Lu Shi for the sake of his family's interests.
2.
Lu Shi is one of Mincheng's most prominent business elites. Though still young, he's already become head of the Lu family.
Rumor has it that he's decisive, stern, aloof, and refined, the kind of person ordinary people can hardly approach.
On the way to the Lu residence, Xia Luo is so nervous that his palms sweat. But when he sees Lu Shi's cool expression, all his nervousness turns into bewilderment. He speaks in disbelief:
"Senior?"
Lu Shi is the senior who lived in the dorm room next door to him in college!
3.
After their marriage, Xia Luo can clearly feel how well his legal husband treats him. Lu Shi takes meticulous care of his everyday needs, meals, trips, and even the little things he asks for.
But Lu Shi is always so cool toward him. His kindness seems to be nothing more than the simple fulfillment of a husband's duties, with no deeper meaning.
In response to Lu Shi's coolness, Xia Luo keeps his distance, maintaining their marriage as a respectful but distant arrangement.
Until one day, an ex-boyfriend from college comes looking for him and invites him to dinner. Just as Xia Luo is about to head out, Lu Shi rushes home from work in a panic.
It's the first time Xia Luo has seen such a calm man look so distressed. Before he can react, Lu Shi pulls him into his arms.
Xia Luo is completely dazed. Leaning against Lu Shi's broad, warm chest, he hears a slightly plaintive voice:
"Luoluo, we're married now. You can't treat me like this."
Cool on the outside, warm within, a restrained loyal-dog top x warm on the outside, cool within, beautiful researcher bottom
Reading Guide:
1. The bottom has some personality flaws and had an ex-boyfriend in name only. Nothing else happened between them. So this is still a one-on-one romance, with both leads inexperienced.
2. The top is older and has a secret crush on the bottom, a secret crush on the bottom, a secret crush on the bottom. (Repeating it three times because it's important.)
3. This isn't as purely sweet as my previous novels. There may be a few twists and turns, but the overall tone is sweet, with a slight healing bent.
4. The research parts are made up by the author and set in a fictional world, purely to serve the plot. Don't take them seriously. They aren't meant to be scrutinized, so this isn't for readers who like to dig into the details.
