At fourteen, Yu Qi was sent back to China by his parents and moved in with the Qin family, whom they knew well, to receive a domestic education.

Because he wasn't good at speaking Chinese, he rarely spoke. His classmates thought he was aloof and hard to approach, and they all kept their distance from him, intentionally or otherwise.

One person, however, refused to take the hint and teased him every day.

Qin Fuxue, the young master of the Qin family, stood 1.89 meters tall and had a face straight out of a character model. He was domineering and rebellious, a presence both respected and feared around campus.

When he heard that a foreign kid would be staying with his family, Second Young Master Qin thought, Great, another toy.

Living under someone else's roof, Yu Qi was very well-behaved at the Qin home.

Qin's mother warned her younger son not to bully Yu Qi. Qin Fuxue agreed to her face, then turned around and called him a little stutterer.

Yu Qi remained aloof and ignored him, but recorded what he said and played it for the Qin family during their after-dinner walk.

That night, Qin Fuxue got a sound scolding from both parents, while Yu Qi enjoyed quite a show.

That was how their feud began.

Their relationship changed at a family gathering.

Yu Qi accidentally got drunk, briefly forgetting the troubles of life and his constant sparring with Qin Fuxue.

Faced with Qin Fuxue's provocation at close range, Yu Qi found it annoying and gave him a perfunctory kiss. Everyone around them laughed, but only Qin Fuxue knew his heart was pounding like a drum.

Later, Yu Qi skipped a grade and became Qin Fuxue's classmate. He studied hard to get into his dream university.

But after evening study, Qin Fuxue would stand at the school gate with a dark expression and block his way. "Yu Qi, what is the meaning of this? I pick you up and drop you off every day. Even if I haven't earned merit, I've at least worked hard. And you? You talk to that four-eyed guy every day. So who's your boyfriend, anyway?!"

Yu Qi blinked, looking innocent. "But you promised we'd keep our relationship secret in high school. Are you going back on your word?"

Qin Fuxue gritted his teeth.

Go back on my word? Hell no!

I'll just keep a closer eye on him. I'm not giving anyone else a chance!

PS: The bottom isn't a pushover. He's just not good at confronting people. He's gentle on the outside but strong inside, and if someone bullies him, he'll find a chance to get even.

PPS: The top isn't actually an idiot, and he has some emotional intelligence. He takes things personally, not objectively, and being born into a good family has given him a few bad habits. Don't worry, the bottom won't indulge him, and the top will learn to change.

PPPS: Mostly about school, studying, and falling in love, with very few nasty supporting characters. A warm little story about the leads, their friends, and their families growing together.
