When Erica wakes up, she has amnesia and finds herself in an unfamiliar place.
But she vaguely remembers that her dear father was an outstanding proletarian worker who diligently contributed to Gotham's development with his own hands every day. Her dad was 206 centimeters tall and weighed 398 kilograms. He swung a battle-axe, wore cat ears, and roamed the darkness, forever tireless. He would always be her hero.
Her dad's name was Bru...
Damn it, she forgot.
Erica looks at the man in front of her, a head shorter than she is and dressed like a bat, who might be her dad. She can't help picking him up and giving him a bounce... This weight doesn't seem right. Has her dad been dieting lately?
In Bruce's eyes, his daughter from a parallel world is a constant source of heart attacks.
Erica is covered in modified prosthetic limbs and has astonishing muscles. Her strength rivals Diana's, but when it comes to fighting, her brain is like Clark's. She likes to take other people's attacks right to the face, and her fists are big enough to kill a Red Hood. She can even carry Batman and run twenty kilometers without breaking a sweat.
She firmly believes the power of the proletariat is limitless, and that only the Gotham built with her own hands truly belongs to her!
So Bruce discovers that by day, he can find Erica at every construction site in Gotham, carrying bricks or pouring concrete. By night, he can see a Batgirl wrapped up like a giant black cocoon, openly following him around.
This Batgirl is good at leaving her lairs in every unfinished building in Gotham. Her Batmobile is three stories tall, and every time she makes a move, she turns Gotham upside down and scares its villains half to death. She insists that everything she does is learned from Batman, and that the final say belongs to Batman.
Rumors begin to spread among the underworld: The Bat is preparing to take over Gotham and ascend through technology.
Bruce: ...
Erica, devoted to imitating her dad, Wayne: That's right, Gotham belongs to my dad! Who's with me? Who's against me?
Batgirl sits atop her beloved tank Batmobile, looking down at everyone with a smug smile.
She leisurely swaps in her battle-axe prosthetic arm. The bat emblem on her arm gleams with a razor-sharp chill.
The villains look at her grotesquely huge biceps, then at Batman, who seems a little small in the shadow of the girl and her tank. They can't help backing away several steps.
Then they run straight into another, even more terrifying giant bat.
Erica: “...Dad?” This one looks like my actual dad!
Erica barrels forward like a locomotive and leaps into her father's arms. Only after confirming that he doesn't budge an inch does she happily decide:
This weight is right. This is definitely my cow-strong, brick-carrying dad!
Content notes:
1. This story is a crossover with Cyberpunk 2077. It takes place in the future, not in 2026. It's not so messed up that a child born in 2004 is having a baby. Erica comes from a point in the Absolute Batman comics' timeline many years after the events depicted there.
2. Erica was born in a laboratory and has trouble understanding her identity and abilities. She is not Batman's biological daughter. She is a product of the Cyberpunk setting, an artificial human created by Arasaka Corporation.
3. I won't write the original comic's plot. If you start speculating about nonexistent plot points and leaving hateful warnings before I've even started writing, I'll report you. Thanks. If you can't accept this story, you can click the X. If you're going to keep reading while cursing at it, or spread rumors and leave warnings because others don't agree with you, please leave. I hope you find a story you love.
