Blurb:
Kurokawa Sawa was enjoying a rare vacation amid the neon lights when, out of nowhere, an inexplicable electronic voice popped into his head, claiming to be a "System."
Kurokawa Sawa: Have I worked so much overtime that I've lost my mind?
System: [Oh my Host!! QAQ]
After being told that the world he lived in was actually a manga, Kurokawa Sawa, a staunch materialist for over twenty years, was thoroughly shaken. What was even harder to process was that every plot point in [Detective Conan] was marked in gray and locked. The only way to unlock them was apparently to complete missions?
Kurokawa Sawa: ...?
He looked at the gray data panel in front of him, then at the little girl beside him, who apparently came from the "Starter Pack" and looked exactly like the manga's heroine. He sighed silently.
Fine, then.
To get involved in the main plot, Kurokawa Sawa straightforwardly chose to go undercover in the organization from [Detective Conan]. The only problem was that a few delicate little mishaps occurred during his mission.
Looking at the man before him, whose air was cold and sharp, whose features were strikingly handsome, and who was absolutely his type, Kurokawa Sawa struck a thoughtful pose. "These System missions won't stop me from flirting with men, will they?"
System: ??? Wait, why is this Rye not like the one from the original world? Host, stay calm!! Aaaah! Don't climb into that bottle of whiskey's bed so soon!!
After years undercover, Rye Whiskey felt that something was very wrong. Members of the action team usually had a regular partner. He had always worked alone, which was fine, but now Gin, who had originally minded his own business around him (crossed out) couldn't stand the sight of him (checked), had actually offered to pick a partner for him.
And the person in question was a newcomer who had only recently received a code name.
Akai Shuichi felt this was less about finding a partner and more about babysitting a rookie. It would do nothing to help his undercover mission. The newcomer was also of dubious identity, and was very likely an informant, so he firmly refused.
But after Gin repeatedly made concessions, the matter was settled in the end. Rye Whiskey was forced to team up with his partner (crossed out) take on a rookie (checked). Yet at first sight of the newcomer, he felt something was very wrong.
The mixed-race French newcomer in front of him had long hair like his own, an ever-present smile, and a face that was almost too beautiful. His personality was also a little too warm, in a very French way.
Then, in less than a month, they ended up in bed together.
Akai Shuichi: ?
Akai Shuichi: Something feels very wrong.
Kurokawa Sawa: ^v^~
When he met Gin again, rumors of his affair with the newcomer were already flying everywhere. Faced with Gin's deeply suspicious gaze, Rye Whiskey, who had thrived in the organization for years and dared to go head-to-head with Gin, was of course not about to feel guilty.
And so the famed Rye Whiskey of the organization acquired a universally known "lover-partner," with all kinds of mysterious and scandalous rumors swirling around them.
But why was that mixed-race newcomer from the intelligence division so hostile toward him?
And when had his identity been exposed?
Akai Shuichi felt that something was very wrong.
Kurokawa Sawa: Innocent.jpg
Furuya Rei had a senior he was very close to. Their marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, and investigative skills were all top-notch. The fact that they were both mixed-race had also given him a great deal of comfort.
But a year later, his senior vanished without a trace.
They met again in the organization. Furuya Rei was no longer a police academy student, but the intelligence division's newcomer Amuro Tooru. And his senior was now suspected of using a honey trap to seduce a high-ranking member of the organization in order to infiltrate it.
Then, after investigating, he found all kinds of sordid "scandalous rumors" in his hands.
Furuya Rei (fingers trembling): My senior has sacrificed so much.
Furuya Rei: ...And that long-haired guy is really getting on my nerves. I'll find a chance to get rid of him!
A certain person who'd been thoroughly ravished: Heaven above! Bear witness to my innocence!
Reader's guide:
1. Sawa is on the good guys' side + a little black-lamb.
2. No side couples. Terrible writing, OOC warning.
3. No Shuichi/Akemi or Akai/Shuu.
4. Gin-friendly, no casualties, the organization goes down.
5. In this version, Akai-sensei joined the organization much earlier and didn't get in through Akemi.
6. Sawa is one centimeter taller than Akai-sensei. There's not much of an age gap, but it has a pseudo-younger-man vibe.
7. About unlocking the plot: I just love watching Sawa and Akai-sensei both remain unaware that the other is undercover while they dance around each other ().
8. There may be quite a few foreshadowed twists (with a little reversal).
9. Sawa's personality differs from the one in my other story. He's a beautiful, flirtatious top (Sawa without the headband, with long hair).
10. Bungo Stray Dogs is mostly background early on, with little page time.
