The Thirteenth Day

[Please read before starting]

· Not a conventional transmigration story. It focuses on adapting to and exploring life after transmigration.

· Not a power fantasy. The protagonist has no extraordinary abilities and relies on meticulous preparation.

· The romance is fully integrated into the plot, with no separate love storyline.

· There may be some light academic discussion, but nothing too difficult to understand.

· All supernatural phenomena have a reasonable explanatory framework.

A mysterious ancient umbrella hidden deep within the Palace Museum, two modern women with nothing in common, and an accidental encounter across parallel worlds.

Yan Sangli, a meticulous and stiff-backed relic restorer, only wants to quietly study her obscure field. But in a restricted area of the Palace Museum, she finds a bizarre umbrella that can summon "Immortals Flying from Beyond the Heavens." The one who comes flying isn't an immortal maiden, but Ji Tong'an, a scatterbrained girl in a hooded sweatshirt who claims to be a sci-fi illustrator.

"Where am I? Wasn't I on a plane?"

"This is the Palace Museum. By the way, you might... not be in your own 'version' anymore."

One is an academic forced to accept supernatural phenomena; the other is an art student trying to stay calm in another world. To uncover the Star-Shift Umbrella's secrets and find a way home, the two women, whose personalities are poles apart, have no choice but to become temporary partners.

By day, one buries herself in ancient texts searching for clues, while the other uses her paintbrush to record the subtle differences in this world. At night, they study the temperamental umbrella in a little house in a traditional courtyard residence. Sometimes it coldly refuses to communicate; sometimes it capriciously displays visions of the stars. Its features unlock at random.

"I think it's messing with us."

"To be precise, it's engaging in 'non-standardized information exchange.'"

Their grand plan to travel through time and space begins with the everyday dilemmas of getting a phone card in this world, buying clothes that fit, and deciding what to eat for lunch. But as the cryptic records in ancient books begin to correspond with the star charts flowing across the umbrella's surface, they realize that the umbrella may not be the only thing connecting the two worlds...
