Being Carried Through the Apocalypse by the Third Prince

[Blurb needs revision. Goofy, scheming college girl x expressionless, otaku heartthrob Nezha]

Ye Man wakes up one day and finds herself in the year 5555.

The age of mythology.

The ocean has swallowed the entire surface of the earth, and both China and the Chinese people have vanished without a trace.

Zeus, Odin, Shiva, Horus... False gods bearing the names of ancient deities lord it over their temples. Each one has eight heads and twenty tentacles, and they enjoy offerings as if they were entitled to them.

The rest of humanity has been reduced to the lowest of slaves, living on floating islands and spending every day in fear.

Ye Man: "Brr, where's China? Where did my huge China go?!"

Just as she is falling into despair, she is chosen to become a priestess in service to the gods. Among a heap of "deities" that look like rotting corpses, Ye Man spots a breathtakingly handsome boy with an utterly expressionless face.

They say he's the strangest high god around and never accepts priestesses. Though he's ugly, he's quiet and keeps to himself, so he must be mild-tempered and easygoing.

His name is Nezha.

A fellow countryman at last! With tears in her eyes, she crawls over and grabs his leg. "Pick me, pick me, pick me! Third Prince, pick me!"

Nezha: "..."

Ye Man gazes up at him with shining eyes and sings passionately: "It's him, it's him, our hero! Little Nezha!"

Nezha: "...Fine, you. Just shut up."

Only later does Ye Man learn the real reason China disappeared.

Armed with a god-summoning System, she invites Heaven's most defiant troublemaker to take down the false gods and go home with her.

Nezha: "Let's find the Old Lord first. Bring along the one with three eyes, too... and that monkey."

Ye Man: "Don't think I didn't see you cross out the name of the Heavenly King. Just how much do you hate him?!"

About this story:

1. This is my take on Nezha, with a mixed bag of settings.

2. This is a fictional world, so please don't compare it to reality.

3. At heart, this is a story celebrating humanity.

Theme: The hymn of humanity is a hymn of courage.
