After My Nemesis, Who Hated Me to the Bone, Married Me by Deception

[I started this when I was young and clueless. The setting is old-fashioned, and updates are whenever I feel like it. I'm writing it for the nostalgia.] [Revised old chapters, opening with a flashback] Before Ren Yueming's adoptive father died, he was exposed as a sanctimonious hypocrite. Her adoptive father had been so outrageous and chaotic that Ren Yueming was left without anyone willing to help her. She had been leader of the Righteous Alliance for barely half a shichen before the Demon Sect Leader, who had come for revenge, drove her into a dead end. To save her life, Ren Yueming chose to fake her death by jumping off a cliff. To her surprise, the crazed Demon Sect Leader jumped after her. At the foot of the cliff, the Demon Sect Leader woke up with amnesia. "Who are you?" Ren Yueming, at her wit's end, threw herself into his arms with tears in her eyes. "Husband dear! How could you forget me? I'm your wife!" The Demon Sect Leader's eyes widened in shock, and his whole body stiffened. But seeing how heartbroken she looked, he finally called her by the name she'd made up on the spot. "D-don't cry," he said, still embarrassed. When he lowered his eyes, they shimmered with dazzling light. "...No matter what happens, I'll always protect you." -- Later, Ren Yueming returned to her position as alliance leader and ran into her old enemy. The Demon Sect Leader had regained his memories. He unleashed his moves, his smile twisted and menacing. "A-Yue, don't hide. I. Will. Protect. You." Ren Yueming really didn't dodge. She lightly tapped the tip of her sword against his blade twice. The man could take no more. He slashed the sword from her hand, then pointed his blade at her throat... but still couldn't bring himself to strike. She smiled as she leaned toward him, forcing him step by step into a corner. "Will you keep your word, dear husband?" The man was speechless. At last, he turned his flushed face away and chided her in a low voice. "...Shameless!" The righteous and demonic factions, passing by by chance: ... Wait, which one of you is the Demon Sect Leader?
