Female sentinels, male sentinels, and guides of either gender; my take on a lighthearted, funny Sentinel-Guide story.
Shi Wei transmigrated into a Sentinel-Guide world. On the day she differentiated as a Sentinel, an egg appeared beside her.
“Hello, you dropped your egg.” Shi Wei, an honest finder who never kept what wasn’t hers, said as she returned the egg to a Sentinel whose spirit animal was a bird.
“Have you ever heard of a spirit animal laying eggs?” the Sentinel sneered, exasperated. “Besides, my spirit animal is male! Male!”
Spirit animals couldn’t lay eggs? Shi Wei wondered. Surely nobody had an egg for a spirit animal, right?
Shi Wei scoffed. What kind of person had an egg for a spirit animal?
Oh, mystery solved. It was hers.
Her spirit animal wasn’t just an egg. It hatched into a miniature Tyrannosaurus rex!
A huge head, round eyes, a dopey expression, and arms so short they couldn’t even feed her.
Shi Wei held the puppy-sized Tyrannosaurus in her arms and sighed. What could she do? It was her kid, so she’d raise it!
And so Shi Wei carried her baby Tyrannosaurus into the Sentinel Academy at the White Tower. Who knew the tiny little thing would have such a big temper?
Anyone who called her ugly got a headbutt from the Tyrannosaurus! Anyone who said she was short got a headbutt! Anyone who said she ate too much got a headbutt!
So Shi Wei gave her the affectionate name Iron Hammer.
Shi Wei spent her days cleaning up after Iron Hammer and covering for her, while sneaking over the wall with the academy’s bottom-of-the-class students to peep into the Guide Academy, whistling at passing Guides, and debating which instructor had the best butt...
Then Shi Wei learned that, given her grades and rank, she could only stay at the White Tower as a gatekeeper, earning a salary of 2,500 for the rest of her life. Not a single Sentinel squad would take her. At last, she came to her senses and decided to take a desperate gamble.
Shi Wei clung to the leg of the academy’s S-rank Red Dragon Sentinel and wailed like the world was ending:
“Captain, please take me in! A Tyrannosaurus is still a dragon! We’re family!”
In short, Shi Wei’s chaotic daily life raising a Tyrannosaurus at the White Tower.
A lighthearted comedy, with a touch of everyone-loves-the-heroine. The male leads include both Guides and Sentinels. If you like that sort of thing, give it a follow!
