Summer Downpour

Jian Qing is a stunt double. Her family started pressuring her to get married while she was still young, so she declared over the phone that she'd punch anyone who dared marry her right in the head.

A man who had just been pressured to marry at the corner lit a cigarette. His gloomy expression softened into a smile, and curiosity got the better of him. He leaned out to take a look.

That was the first time they met.

The second time, he sat in front of the director's monitor, watching her on screen. Dressed in a simple black outfit for a nighttime sneak, she leapt nimbly from a rooftop, drew her blade, and fought four or five martial arts performers in a crisp, clean action scene.

A faint smile crossed his lips.

With skills like hers, no wonder she wanted to punch a man's head off.

The third time they met was during a summer shower.

In costume, she hid in a corner, crying as she begged her parents to stop pressuring her to get married. She was still young, and one day she would become a famous action star and make a name for herself...

Jiang Zongqi's thoughts raced. When the cigarette burned down to his fingertips, he snapped out of it, stubbed it out, and walked over. "I can help you achieve your dream."

The condition was...

Marry me.
