As far as she remembers, she's only seen him twice, and they barely exchanged greetings. The first time was in a private parking garage inside a shopping mall. A crowd of suited executives escorted him away. As he passed, he casually took his friend along. Lou Wan caught a glimpse of his slight turn, the silver-rimmed lenses reflecting an arrogant, distant gleam that kept everyone at arm's length. The second time, she brought her drunk friend back to the Gu family estate. Across a covered walkway and pavilion over a stream, the elegant young master sat on a raised platform, his long legs casually crossed. Like a god high above the world, he looked down at them with cool indifference. Lou Wan knows that wealthy families like these have no desire to associate with people of her humble station. After dropping off her friend, she immediately heads down the mountain and returns to her ordinary life as a craftswoman, struggling to keep her precarious little teahouse afloat. / The two should have had nothing to do with each other, but one morning changed everything. When she opens her eyes, she's in an unfamiliar, luxurious bedroom, with a handsome sleeping man beside her. It's her friend's older brother. Did she just drag that aloof, elegant man down from his lofty perch? She's mortified, but there's also a hint of satisfaction. She hurries out of there. :) At noon, however, the man appears in her shop, a suit jacket draped over his arm and an indifferent look on his face. Lou Wan is startled. Is he here to settle the score? The man says nothing. Even the air falls silent. Increasingly nervous, Lou Wan breaks the silence first. "Mr. Xie, what would you like to drink?" Xie Huaiqian says, "How about we get married?" With tea foam all over her hands, Lou Wan stares up at him in a daze, meeting his gentle, deep-set eyes through his glasses. And a fleeting hint of hope... #Weren't they supposed to have nothing to do with each other? How did they end up getting married?# #If you drunkenly kiss someone, you have to take responsibility. : )# "The warmth of everyday life is wonderful.
