My name is Fujiwara Chie. I'm a psychic, and my power is to turn everyone into ordinary people.
The boy adopted by my relatives has the special ability to see yokai, and is often chased all over the mountains. In front of the yokai, I can take him away as if nothing is wrong.
Whenever my mother's actor partner can't get away from their fans, I'm the one sent to pick them up.
After all, everything I do looks perfectly ordinary to other people. They won't give me a second glance even if I show up beside a celebrity, or even if my bleep-body dances in the middle of the street like a gorilla.
I can assimilate anyone I touch, but the moment they realize psychic powers exist, they escape my influence. So I've decided to avoid contact with people as much as possible.
Still, I may be worrying too much. Who would notice a power this useless, unless they had psychic powers themselves?
And so, at sixteen, I successfully transferred to PK Academy and became an ordinary high school girl.
Looking at all the differently colored hair in the classroom, I felt like trying something I hadn't done in ages. I gave a rap-style self-introduction, and got exactly the reaction I expected from my classmates: blank indifference, and...
A dead-fish-eyed boy with pink hair, a lollipop hair clip, and no expression; and a blue-haired goddess surrounded by an aura, clapping with a forced smile.
I had successfully died of embarrassment.
Something's not right. From the start, two people are immune to me. Is it because I'm not the protagonist?
At this point, I could only use a mysterious incantation to threaten them into keeping quiet.
The blue-haired girl radiated a sacred, dazzling light. She took my hand and looked at me encouragingly. "It's okay, Fujiwara. Even if you have some strange hobbies, I'd still like to be your friend."
The boy with an antenna... I mean, a hair clip sticking up from his head, let his expression soften a little. "Try again, Fujiwara."
I was sure he hadn't opened his mouth, yet his voice rang directly in my mind.
"Try again."
Enough. I'm staying away from the weirdos here.
Reader's Guide:
The blurb is written in first person, the main text in third person.
A crossover with a bit of Natsume, and maybe Captain Akashi's squad too. There are some voice-actor jokes, and of course basketball that's not bound by science counts as a psychic power.
In short, it's a collection of all sorts of weird little slice-of-life stories.
Apologies for any out-of-character moments.
Theme: A wonderful school life.
