The Wind Across the Wilderness

Shi Liu went to Manzhouli to attend a wedding. After it ended, he decided on the spur of the moment to take a trip out to the grasslands.

"Freelancing is the best," he said. His friend asked, "Have you rented a car?"

Shi Liu replied innocently, "I don't have a driver's license."

His friend: "..."

A little while later, his friend pulled over the handsome best man who had been turning heads at the wedding and introduced him. "Song Youzhi, the tour leader. He runs his own travel agency and is heading back to Hailar. He can give you a ride."

Shi Liu said eagerly, "Nice to meet you, Tour Leader Song! I'm planning to travel for a week. How much to hire you?"

At that, the man raised an eyebrow, studied the pretty, almost celebrity-like face before him, and held up five fingers.

Thus, the promising young Mr. Song was hired by a man for less than 800 yuan a day.

A crosswind swept across the grasslands. Song Youzhi was feeling a little irritated, but for the passenger's safety, he had to concentrate even harder on driving.

"Can you use the cigarette lighter?" he asked. "Light me a cigarette."

"Sure."

The heating coil glowed red. Shi Liu gently pressed the tobacco against it, then put the cigarette between his lips and took a deep drag. Only then did it catch fire completely.

Song Youzhi glanced at him, and Shi Liu put the cigarette between his lips.

"Hey."

"Yeah?"

"If you want to kiss me, just say so. You don't have to do this every time."

Shi Liu laughed at him. "At the last rest stop, I saw you buy a lighter."

With a screech, Song Youzhi slammed on the brakes.

Then let's just kiss on the mouth. :)

Reading Guide:

1. A car cigarette lighter is a device used to draw power from the car, originally designed to light cigarettes. A cigarette won't light just by holding it against the lighter. Someone has to take a drag. :)

2. The characters are roughly a cool tour leader x a lively, flirtatious photographer. Both are each other's first.

3. This is a healthy romance between two leads who are both perfectly fine.
