My Little Pony: My Cutie Mark Is an Equal Sign?!

[Native Character] [Does Not Transmigrate] [Mostly Slice of Life] [Ship Whoever You Like] [Ship Whoever You Want] Jing Yan was just an ordinary pony. She had no idea why her cutie mark was an equals sign. She didn't seem to have any talent for equals signs, either! She left her hometown for Manehattan, but soon found that the place didn't suit her. After moving from place to place, she eventually made her way to Canterlot. Life in Canterlot was hectic, so once again, Jing Yan reluctantly chose to move to Ponyville. Ponyville had reasonable prices and a peaceful pace of life. It was the place Jing Yan chose to make her home. When the Summer Sun Celebration arrived, Jing Yan discovered that Nightmare Moon wasn't just a figure in a fable. She really existed, as Jing Yan learned when she saw her with her own eyes. There were only six Elements of Harmony. What were they supposed to do? There were seven of them: five ponies had necklaces, and one had a crown. Was the last pony really an extra? Were they supposed to send her away? As if! They were all friends. Princess Celestia simply made Jing Yan a necklace based on her cutie mark. It was exactly the same, with no difference at all, and looked like it belonged with the others. After two years in Ponyville, Jing Yan suddenly grew wings at the Best Young Flyer Competition?! Of course, flapping around with no idea what she was doing caused plenty of injuries, too. She really was beset by one calamity after another! And recovering was such a hassle!
