Female Celebrity, Stop Flirting, You’re Making the Professor Blush

At 31, Kuang Lingling boasts an intimidating list of credentials: a doctorate from Cambridge, postdoctoral research at Harvard, and a former role as a United Nations adviser. She is now the youngest full professor at Siyuan International University. Calm and restrained for all 31 years of her life, she is known in academic circles as an “ice sculpture.” No one has ever seen her lose her composure. She thought this was how her life would be: building walls with countless international degrees, with a girl inside who was so afraid of losing that she refused to let herself have anything.

24-year-old Chen Meiling (Orm) is one of Thailand’s hottest and most talented actresses: blonde, long-legged, and when she smiles, like a golden retriever wagging its tail. She debuted at 17, won an Asian Film Award at 21, and by 24 had starred in three international co-productions. Everyone thinks her life is dazzling, but only she knows that for years she has slept just four hours a night, working herself to the bone to prove she is “worthy.”

The two should never have crossed paths, until the day of the university anniversary celebration.

She began to lose control. And losing control was what she feared most in all the world.

This is a story about “how a cold, aloof person is tamed by love,” and also about “how a passionate person is caught and held by love.”
