A Seven-Year Age Gap, A Sweet Obsession

Longcheng is a coastal city where old and new powers are vying for control. At 30, Ling built her business from the ground up and founded Longcheng Shield, the city's largest security company. In the eyes of outsiders, she's a cold, formidable “queen of security,” but she's also a total novice at love, having been single her entire life. Twenty-three-year-old Orm comes from a wealthy family and, thanks to her exceptional business sense, built Longcheng's largest bar group, Muse, in just one year. She's a queen of the nightlife scene, perfectly at ease in social situations, yet deep down she desperately longs to be “the one someone chooses without hesitation.”

The two first meet during an industry crisis. Ling's professionalism and confidence attract Orm, but Orm's bold advances make Ling retreat again and again. “You're too young. You don't understand what real love is.” Ling repeatedly uses their seven-year age gap as an excuse to push Orm away, yet she can't stop herself from drawing closer to the blonde woman.

What she doesn't know is that this isn't their first meeting. Seven years ago, late one night, Ling rescued a blonde girl who was being plied with drinks and surrounded by a rowdy crowd. That girl was 16-year-old Orm. Ling's words, “We'll talk when you're an adult,” stayed with Orm for seven years. She spent those years searching for her.

From getting on each other's nerves to falling for each other in secret, from a rejected confession to an obsessive wait, from their contrasting “henpecked husband” routines to facing the challenges of business warfare and family together, this is a story about “being afraid to love” and “there's no one else for me.” Two proud women learn, through testing, push and pull, and clashing, to finally entrust each other with their vulnerabilities.
