In Five Ha: My Ex, the Former Queen of Pop, Wants Me Back

Gu Ci was once the one and only god of Chinese pop music, but at the height of his career, he broke up with his girlfriend and retired from the industry, becoming the one regret the whole internet could never get over.

Two years later, his cousin Chen Chichi tricks him into joining Five Ha. He plans to slack off and be a lazy couch potato, but then the [All-Round Heavenly King System] awakens!

First episode mission: perform on the street for money.

Chen Chichi is clowning around, Deng Chao is awkwardly dancing, and Lu Han is handing out flyers.

Gu Ci picks up a beat-up guitar and sings “Sorrow,” bringing the whole street to tears. The livestream crashes in an instant!

The whole internet goes wild: This is the “washed-up singer” you were talking about?

Even crazier, the nation’s sweetheart, superstar Su Youwei, makes a surprise appearance on set.

Usually cool and proud, she gets teary-eyed in front of the camera:

“Gu Ci, that song was written for me, wasn’t it?”

Gu Ci: You’re reading too much into it. I just want to fish in peace.

Fans: God Gu, please stop fishing. You’ve already caught the superstar’s heart!

From then on, Five Ha takes a completely different turn.

Deng Chao: We’re filming a variety show, not “Let’s Fall in Love”!
