I'm Not Sick! Stop Feeding Me, Cold Director

Medical intern Lin Dong was bound to the “Regret-Redemption System for Old Age.”

But the System is a total “sweet summer child.” It stubbornly believes he’s the desperate forty-two-year-old version of himself from twenty years in the future: paralyzed from the waist down, with a wife who died tragically and little time left to live.

Every day, Lin Dong hears the System sobbing in his mind:

[Waaah! Host is quadriplegic! Please move a finger! Reward: world-class cardiac suturing skills and 100,000 yuan in cash! Just please don’t die!]

[Ding! The Host can actually get out of bed and take a couple of steps! A medical miracle! Reward: a targeted drug that can defeat cancer! Please don’t push yourself!]

To milk this foolish System for all it’s worth, Lin Dong goes full method actor. He soaks goji berries in his thermos every day and occasionally borrows a wheelchair to “grind out rehab quests.”

Before long, the whole department’s atmosphere changes.

The cool, beautiful, and brilliant department head, Su Qingzhu, the woman he secretly loves, happens to catch him struggling through “rehab” and instantly imagines a tragedy about a “terminally ill genius persevering in the pursuit of his dream.”

From then on, the icy department head turns into an overprotective wife. She not only comes up with new nourishing soups for him every day, but even steps in front of him whenever patients cause trouble. “Lin Dong is in poor health. Anyone who dares lay a finger on him can try me!”

Then one day, a top tycoon arrives at the hospital with a heart attack, and the experts are helpless.

Lin Dong, who everyone thinks is “delicate and frail,” suddenly rises from his wheelchair, rushes to the operating table, and performs a miraculous surgery.

The entire hospital is stunned! Su Qingzhu’s eyes fill with tears. “He risked his life to save someone…”

Lin Dong: “No, I’m really not sick. My legs just went numb from sitting too long…”
