Scripted Game: The Abyss of Human Nature

When death becomes a score, human nature becomes the script. Down-on-his-luck screenwriter Jiang Che is dragged into an endless escape game called “The Script.” There are no monsters to defeat or levels to grind, only the most extreme moral dilemmas: the trolley problem, sacrificing a village, the prisoner’s dilemma... Each scenario forces players to make a choice. But the ones judging them aren’t the System. They are “Observers” from a higher dimension, obsessed with watching lower-dimensional life struggle and make choices. Drawing on his understanding of drama, Jiang Che turns every escape into a brilliant improvisation. But along the way, he discovers that the game itself is the biggest trap, and Su Wanting, his partner, may be the only one who can break the fourth wall. When the performance loses its audience and the script is torn to shreds, Jiang Che must answer the ultimate question: when faced with the ultimate test of human nature, will you still choose to be yourself?
