Amber Tower

In this metropolis, memories can be stripped away, pawned, and traded. No one knows when the Amber House first appeared, and no one can resist its temptation. All it takes is one memory to buy a fortune, a talent, or even someone else’s love. Then memory detective Lin Xu takes on the “Glass Heist,” only to discover that the core memories of the elite are being violently replaced with nothingness.

Every clue points to a forbidden chamber deep inside the Amber House, and to its supervisory AI, “Keeper of Secrets,” with whom Lin Xu has quietly developed feelings. As corporate oligarchs try to monopolize human memory and forge an eternal class system, the secret of the Amber House’s own hunger for memories begins to emerge. The fragile alliance between Lin Xu and the Keeper of Secrets becomes the only variable in this war over memory.

Here, memory is a commodity, a weapon, and a prison. And the most dangerous deal begins with an attempt to reclaim truths the world has long forgotten.
