Great Ming: We’re Both Hanging from Crooked Trees, but Chongzhen Calls Me Brother

Chu Feng transmigrates to the late Ming and activates the “Lie-Flat System” from the start. As long as he stays in his private courtyard, he can become invincible and enjoy a carefree modern life.

Who knew he would land on Coal Hill and snap the rope Chongzhen was using to hang himself?

Looking at the fallen emperor before him, his face ashen, Chu Feng hands him a can of beer and curses him to his face: “Every official in this court deserves to die, and you, the emperor, are a complete loser! If it were up to me, I’d have smashed those corrupt officials’ brains out with an 800-jin hammer ages ago. Why bother hanging yourself?!”

Chu Feng thinks he is about to lose his head, but Chongzhen is instantly enlightened. He grabs Chu Feng and insists they become sworn brothers!

“Big Brother! You’re right, I really am a loser!

“From today on, you’re the imperial elder brother of the Ming! Take the emperor’s sword and smash those worthless ministers’ heads in!”

And so, the Ming dynasty takes a sudden turn.

Li Zicheng’s army is at the gates? Chu Feng brings out tons of silver and canned meat: “Ten taels for every rebel you kill, plus two cans of meat!” The hopeless defenders instantly turn into living embodiments of the King of Hell.

The ministers protest? Chu Feng hauls his 800-jin hammer into court. “I’m in a hurry to get back for my nap. If you’re against confiscating their estates, stick your head out.”

Chu Feng: “I really just want to go back to my courtyard and play games!”

Chongzhen: “Big Brother, stop sleeping. You’ve already hammered the Manchu to extinction. Why don’t you take the throne?”
