I'll Collect Scrap to Take Care of You

Zhou Yang was twenty-two, with no parents and nothing but a junkyard to his name.

The day his grandfather died, he squatted beside a heap of scrap and smoked through the night.

The next day, he was back on his tricycle, collecting scrap as usual.

That was just how life went.

Until one day, he found a copper box beneath an old cardboard carton.

His fate took a turn.

Su Niannian said the box was worth 500,000 yuan.

He didn't believe her.

How was a scrap collector supposed to know what 500,000 yuan even looked like?

But then it all happened. Someone made an offer, someone tried to drive the price down, and someone tried to take it by force.

That's when Zhou Yang realized the scrap business was far more complicated than he'd imagined.

And what happened after that?

He turned his junkyard into a recycling company, then turned that company into an industrial conglomerate.

Later, he said something to Su Niannian:

“I'll collect scrap to support you.”

She said yes.

This is the story of a scrap collector turning his life around.

No pretenses, no empty talk, no accepting his fate.
