Roaming Tang Under the Long Winds

Introduction to A Long Wind's Journey Through the Tang

Li Changfeng, a history graduate student, unexpectedly transmigrates while writing a thesis on the Zhenguan Zhengyao, arriving in the Tang dynasty in the fourth year of the Zhenguan era.

When he first arrives in a village in Chang'an County, he uses his modern knowledge to help the villagers successfully prevent and control a locust plague, earning the trust of village chief Zhao Dagui. Through Zhao's introduction, Li Changfeng enters the Hongwen Academy and helps compile the Book of Jin. His remarkable historical insights win the admiration of senior ministers such as Fang Xuanling and Wei Zheng.

Recommended for an audience with Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, Li Changfeng analyzes the lessons behind the rise and fall of the Jin dynasty in depth. He proposes sound policies for governing the realm, including strengthening central authority, implementing the equal-field system, and reforming the imperial examinations. He is appointed a Court Gentleman of the Court of Judicial Review, officially entering the Tang bureaucracy.

But the world of officialdom is treacherous, and powerful men like Hou Junji are about to target him. How will Li Changfeng use his far-sighted understanding of history to find his footing amid the shifting currents of the prosperous Zhenguan era and change the fate of the Tang dynasty?

This is an epic of transmigration that blends historical insight, political intrigue, and devotion to family and country.
