Dark Blade Storm: An Urban Counterterrorism Chronicle

A sudden wave of terrorist attacks shatters the peace of Harbor City. A subway bombing, a chemical plant seizure, a massacre of hostages in a public square: the terrorist organization codenamed “Black Crusade” has been lying low for years, and now it has finally bared its fangs. Lin Feng, an elite special forces soldier from a People's Armed Police unit, lost his comrades in a brutal operation three years ago. Haunted by the tragedy, he left the service and became a city police officer. As a cloud of terror descends over the city, he is urgently recruited to join the “Sharp Sword” joint counterterrorism assault team. This is no battle on an open front, but a covert war in a jungle of steel and concrete. Snipers occupy the rooftops of skyscrapers, bombs are hidden among crowds in busy streets, and terrorists infiltrate the network disguised as civilians. Every second, someone dies. Every choice is a gamble with life and death. Lin Feng leads his team through hostage rescues in shopping malls, street battles outside hospitals, sweeps of underground parking garages, and finally an assault on the cruise port controlled by the terrorists. Hand-to-hand combat, close-quarters battles indoors, bomb disposal, and high-altitude rappelling: every chapter delivers intense action. But the real enemy is not outside. When a mole is exposed and the chain of command is compromised, Lin Feng discovers that this war has been a death trap laid for them from the very beginning. The only things he can trust are the gun in his hand and the brothers at his side.
