Coaching IG in S8, but I'm Only Bronze!

After transmigrating into the deciding game of the S8 Summer Finals, Bronze-level Chen Yu is forced onto IG’s coaching staff.

Chen Yu is freaking out. If he makes them lose the S Championship trophy, won’t he become the eternal sinner who ruined the LPL?

To keep history from changing at all costs, he’s sweating buckets as he gives the most timid orders right from the start.

“The other team’s too strong. Let them have everything, don’t contest them. All five of us will hide in the bushes at the far end of the side lane. Don’t move, no matter what. Staying alive is what matters…”

A Shui and Ning Wang look baffled, then suddenly understand.

“Give up all vision and resources right from the start and hide in a dead-end? Got it! This is obviously an ultimate decapitation strategy: sacrifice the whole map so we can catch their core ADC, Uzi, by surprise!”

“Coach, we’ve got this!”

A minute and a half later, Uzi is torn apart by five men, and the whole internet is shaken.

The commentators scream wildly: “No method to the madness, yet every move is lethal! This is a god-tier contest that surpasses Korean macro play. Chen Yu is a genius!”

And so, while Chen Yu only wants to play it safe and his players keep misinterpreting him, every region falls into chaos.

The Korean LCK coaching staff agonizes until they’re bald, then reaches a conclusion: “No marksman? This is clearly a death-charge strategy that throws away the late game. It’s too brutal!”

In reality, Chen Yu just couldn’t find Kai’Sa’s portrait, so he randomly told them to lock in two melee champions.

European pranksters G2: “He picked our whole lineup.”

Chen Yu: “Whoever gets there first gets it. Besides, aren’t these the champions everyone plays in Bronze?”
