Is Tang Sanzang Fahai? The Mighty Heavenly Dragon Subdues the Journey to the West

Fahai Is Reborn as Tang Seng and Beats the Eighty-One Tribulations from the Start!

My name is Tang Sanzang, and my Buddhist name is Jin Chanzi. But no one knows that in my previous life, I was Fahai, the monk from Jinshan Temple who wielded the mighty Dragon Subduing Technique.

After the waters flooded Jinshan, I crushed a relic and my soul transmigrated into the body of a Tang-dynasty pilgrim. From then on, Journey to the West went completely off the rails.

The demons of Two-Fork Ridge want to eat me? Mighty Dragon Subduing Technique: salvation through violence.

Guanyin wants to arrange a tribulation to test me? I could use an extra hand. You’ve come at just the right time.

The White Bone Demon transforms three times? She could do it a hundred times, and I’d still see through her at a glance.

I beat every mount sent by the Heavenly Court into submission, and left the Buddhas of Spirit Mountain speechless.

My three disciples are completely baffled: Master, how can you be a monk and still be tougher than us?

I smile faintly. “Enough talk. Follow me, and we’ll fight our way through Spirit Mountain.”

Eighty-one tribulations? Not enough of a challenge. Heavenly Court and Spirit Mountain? They can all get out of my way.
