The Female CEO’s Laid-Back Bodyguard

Everyone thinks I'm a kept man living off my wife.

As the personal bodyguard to the female CEO of Xingchen Group, I spend every day drinking tea and reading the paper, living like a retired old cadre.

Business rivals mock me, heiresses take pity on me, and even company employees gossip about me.

That is, until an international assassins' organization infiltrates a banquet. The moment gunshots ring out

I set down my teacup and smile at the trembling CEO. “Don't be scared. It's time to give me a raise this month.”

A fruit skewer pierces the throats of three assassins, and I never even leave my seat.

In the dead silence, she grabs me by the collar. “Who are you, really?”

I blink. “The ‘freeloader’ you hired for thirty million a year...”

From that day on, the whole world begins to tremble.

And all I care about is the raise she promised me.
