The Jingkang Upheaval: Starting by Saving Yue Fei's Father

In the second year of the Xuanhe era, twenty years remained until the day that would forever haunt the Han people.

I, Zhao Xu, a soul from the future, had only wanted to head south and stay alive.

But when I lifted a man named Yue He from beneath a bandit's blade...

Looking at his honest, grateful face, I thought of the son he would one day have, a man who would serve his country with utmost loyalty, only to die a tragic death at Wind Wave Pavilion.

In that moment, I changed my mind.

To hell with merely staying alive!

In this life, I will change the course of history!

I will build high walls, stockpile grain, train a new army, and forge divine weapons!

I will make sure Yue Fei's spear forever strikes the hearts of our enemies, never the backs of our own people!

I will make Bianjing's splendor endure for a thousand years!

While the likes of Tong Guan and Cai Jing scheme against one another at court, the furnaces in my military workshops are already blazing!

When the Jin army expects to sweep through us just as it did in history, it will crash headlong into the iron wall I have forged!

The shame of the Jingkang era: this time, I will avenge it with my own hands!
