The Witch of the Conglomerate

I woke up as the sole heir to one of South Korea’s top financial conglomerates, the Sunwoo Group.

It should have been the perfect life for a winner. But when I saw a news report about an “unidentified girl massacring a research facility,” cold sweat instantly soaked my back.

I’ve seen The Witch.

Every monster that escaped from the laboratory is a walking nuclear bomb. Koo Ja-yoon, Baek Ryeon, Jang Se-hee... Their power is enough to turn all of Seoul upside down.

And my father, the head of the Sunwoo Group, was the biggest financier behind the notorious “Keystone Project.”

Now this whole mess has landed in my lap.

The military has its eyes on me, my rivals want to swallow me whole, and those escaped “witches” could come looking for payback at any moment.

But that’s all right.

I know their pasts. I know their fates. And I have something they can’t refuse.

In this world overrun by monsters, I won’t become their prey.

I’ll become their accomplice, their support, the king they can’t leave.

When Koo Ja-yoon stood before me, covered in blood, her beastlike eyes fixed on me, I smiled and held out my hand.

“Come with me. From now on, anyone who wants to hurt you will have to answer to the Sunwoo Group first.”

She stared coldly at me. “You think I’d trust a chaebol’s charity?”

I smiled. “No. This isn’t charity. It’s an investment.”

“And you’re the most worthwhile project I’ve ever seen.”
