War of Resistance: This Fool Is Surprisingly Fierce

In 1937, deep in the Changbai Mountains of northeast China, lived a giant named Da Niu. Two meters tall and strong enough to wrestle a bear, his mind had remained frozen at the age of five. He could only count to ten, and the only character he recognized was the “niu” in his own name.

Eighteen years earlier, a man covered in blood had entrusted him to an old hunter, Uncle Shi. Since then, he had lived in seclusion in a mountain village. When the Japanese invaders’ bayonets pierced this hidden paradise, and Uncle Shi’s blood stained his hands, the “foolish wolf” let out his first bestial roar.

He couldn’t shoot, knew nothing of tactics, and couldn’t even tell the uniforms of friend from foe. He only knew that the men in yellow had made Grandpa “fall asleep,” so every last one of them had to be torn apart.

He had no faith and knew nothing of country or family, but he followed one simple rule: anyone who hurt Grandpa had to die.

When this humanoid beast charged into battle with the innocence of a five-year-old and the strength of a giant, he would tear through the Japanese army’s steel defenses in the most primitive way. The enemy called him “the Kwantung Army’s nightmare,” and his comrades called him “Wolf Boy.” But all he remembered were Grandpa’s last words: “From now on, when you meet a bad person, protect yourself the way you’d snap a bear’s neck!”

This is the story of a fool who protects this land in the simplest way he knows how.
