Siheyuan: Cutting Ties! Selling Haizi to the Old Deaf Woman

After transmigrating as Yi Guowei, the biological father Yi Zhonghai lost 20 years ago, he comes to Courtyard No. 95 to find his son and secure his own retirement. “Dad, you’re actually still alive?” Yi Zhonghai is both overjoyed and heartbroken. He’s overjoyed to have another living relative, but heartbroken that it isn’t his own son. It’s his 60-year-old father. Yi Guowei doesn’t care how awful Yi Zhonghai is in the fanfiction. He’s always been the sort to take his family’s side, right or wrong. This is his own son, after all, and he has to help him out. The first thing to deal with is the most pressing problem hanging over the Yi family: retirement. “Haizi, the Yi family line won’t end with us. “I’m going to put what little energy I have left to good use. You provide the money, I’ll do the work. I’ll find you a stepmother and give you a younger brother of your own. “That’ll solve your retirement problem in one fell swoop.” Yi Zhonghai thinks it over and realizes his father is right. No matter how close Jia Dongxu and Silly Zhu are to him, they aren’t related by blood. A younger brother would be much more dependable. The Yi family is just about to put on a heartwarming display of father-and-son affection when Old Deaf Granny, worried about her own retirement, fears Yi Zhonghai won’t support her once he has his real father. So she drives a wedge between them. “Zhonghai, once your father dies, your stepmother and brother will bleed you dry. They’ll never support you in your old age.” Yi Zhonghai thinks it over and decides she has a point. He breaks ties with Yi Guowei and even threatens to report him as an enemy agent, all in the name of justice. Yi Guowei never imagined that in the 20 years he’d been away, Yi Zhonghai had been molded into a carbon copy of Old Deaf Granny. If that’s his choice, then Yi Guowei will respect it. But before they break ties, he has a score to settle with the old deaf woman. “Old Deaf Granny, that’s my own son!” “What are you getting at?” “What I mean is… you’ll have to pay extra!”
