Shadows of Espionage in Mountain City

As the investigation progresses, a vast intelligence network codenamed “Jinghua” gradually comes to light. Its aim is to completely paralyze the command system of the anti-Japanese base areas in North China, clearing the way for the Japanese army’s subsequent “Operation Ichi-Go.”

Faced with a common threat, Lin Qing, intelligence chief of the Eighth Route Army, and Zhao Gang, intelligence chief of the Nationalists, have no choice but to set aside their suspicions and try to work together. But the “Jinghua” network is deeply entrenched, its reach seemingly everywhere. It may even have infiltrated both of their teams. Every operation is fraught with danger, and every show of trust may conceal a trap. Amid the fog and betrayal, the two chiefs must uncover the person at the heart of “Jinghua” and stop a deadly conspiracy capable of turning the tide of war.
