From Outlaw to Lord

This novel is set in an alternate history, drawing on the frontier military systems of the Han, Tang, and Ming dynasties. The fictional Great Wei Dynasty has stood for a century. It was powerful in its early years, but began to decline midway through its reign. To the north are the Xiongnu, a confederation of steppe peoples; to the west, the Western Qiang; to the east, pirates; and to the south, unrest among the native chieftains. Factional strife runs rampant within the court, where the imperial throne, aristocratic clans, civil officials, and military commanders are locked in conflict. This is the story of how the protagonist rises from humble beginnings to become a noble lord. We hope you enjoy it.
