The Bridge of Hel’s Permanent Resident: I Fought for My Memories for a Thousand Years

I'm Lin Yue, and I've been squatting by the Bridge of Helplessness for eight hundred years. I've downed eight hundred bowls of Granny Meng's soup, and still I haven't forgotten that dead scholar, Su Mubai. Judge Cui is about to send me to hell when Granny Meng hands me a copy of The Underworld Civil Service Exam Guide. “Take the exam. If you pass, you can stay here legally.” I came in first. On interview day, the chief examiner is the reincarnation of the dead man I've waited eight hundred years for: Ling Feng, chief inspector of the Inspection Office. With his fiancée, Cui Yingying, in his arms, he looks at me coldly. “We don't hire people through connections.” I smile. “Lord Ling, you have nightmares every night about me killing you, don't you?” His expression changes. I lean close to his ear and whisper: “Then do you know who handed me the sword that killed you?” His fiancée's expression changes too. How interesting. After eight hundred years, the show is finally about to begin.
