Naruto: I, Kakashi Hatake, Steal Lives

On the Night of the Nine-Tails, I used the forbidden genjutsu, Kotoamatsukami. At the moment my teacher, Minato Namikaze, sealed the Nine-Tails inside his own son, my genjutsu overwrote reality. Naruto Uzumaki became an abandoned child, unknown to all, while I, Kakashi Hatake, became the orphaned son of Konoha’s hero, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, and the orphan of the Fourth Hokage. I gained everything that should have belonged to him: the full tutelage of my grandmaster Jiraiya, the love and expectations of the entire village, and the halo of destiny known as the “Child of Prophecy.” I thought this was the perfect reborn-life story. Until… Naruto, who should have disappeared, returned with a hatred deeper than the Nine-Tails. Standing beside him was Obito Uchiha, who should have been my nemesis. The Akatsuki they commanded no longer hunted Tailed Beasts. Instead, they wove a far larger and darker web aimed at me. As I enjoyed the life I’d stolen, I realized: My father’s death, Obito’s hatred, the truth about Rin… every tragedy I had “avoided” was quietly returning in an even more brutal form. And the boy I had robbed of everything bared his fangs at me from the shadows: “Kakashi-sensei, you taught me that anyone who takes away something important from someone else will come to a bad end.” “Now… it’s your turn.” · Two characters fall to darkness, with extreme reversals: sunny Naruto becomes an avenger from the abyss; cold-faced Kakashi becomes a hypocrite who steals lives. · Manipulation and counter-manipulation: Kakashi uses genjutsu to steal a life, while Naruto lays a once-in-a-century trap with strength and cunning. · Akatsuki 2.0: Naruto, darkened Obito, and Nagato under their sway form the most dangerous revenge alliance in history.
