Chronicle of the Wanli Flames: The Great Sage’s Battle for the Light

During the Wanli era, Japanese pirates ravaged the southeastern coast like the fires of hell. The Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, suddenly awakes, drawn by an unseen murderous force. With a single somersault, he lands in the territory of the Great Ming. On one side, he becomes sworn brothers with Qi Jiguang, the renowned general who fought the pirates, and uses his Golden Cudgel to teach them how to behave. On the other, strange lights descend upon the islands of Japan as Ultraman and giant monsters tear through time and space, only to be hailed as “divine weapons” by power-hungry schemers. Embroidered Spring Blades clash with laser beams, mandarin duck formations collide with waves of monsters, and immortal treasures trade blows with the Specium Ray in the sky! As suspicion and hostility give way to mutual respect, Sun Wukong and the Giant of Light discover that a dark hand, devouring history, is secretly manipulating the world... Can the Great Sage sweep away the forces of evil with his cudgel? Can the Qi family army build a wall with their blood and flesh? And can heroes from across time join hands to defend China’s final line of beacon fires before history collapses?
