But Daddy, the Hero Has a Twelve-Inch One

【A hulking mercenary with a rotten heart beneath his disguise X A radiant, straightforward princess with many secret identities】 【Western fantasy, size difference, sweet and angsty, mutual devotion, happy ending】 To escape an arranged marriage to the Hero, Princess Eve Augusta of the Empire ran away from home. On the way, the Hero mistook her for a mage living in seclusion in the forest and recruited her into his party. The Empire's Hero, Vermont Clyde, had already spent eleven years as a mercenary, taking any job for the right price and earning a terrible reputation for stopping at nothing to get paid. When they first met, Eve thought he was a thoroughly despicable man. Three years later, the Demon King was defeated. The good news: the Hero refused the marriage arrangement and left without a word. The bad news: Eve fell in love with him and followed him out of the palace. The Emperor couldn't understand why his precious daughter had changed her mind again. Until one day, Eve sent him a letter revealing the truth: 【But, Daddy, the Hero has twelve inches.】 What do you mean, twelve inches??? Oh... the wand he made for you... - Vermont knew he was rotten to the core, born of humble origins, with plenty of blood on his hands and no future to speak of. Someone like him didn't deserve the love of a perfect princess, nor could he bear the responsibility of accepting it. One day, Eve would see him for what he truly was and leave him. Until then, Vermont could only keep pretending he didn't love her. Until... the day she died. P.S. If you're enjoying the story, please leave a review or a comment!
