After My Husband's Younger Brother Died in a Car Crash, He Thought It Was My Brother Who Had Died

My husband's younger brother was in a car accident, but my husband, Lin Chiwei, was accompanying his dream girl to an art exhibition.

The doctors needed a direct relative's signature before they could start the risky procedure, and the boy on the hospital bed was growing paler by the minute.

But when Lin Chiwei answered the phone, he said impatiently:

"Where do you expect me to get that much money to treat this useless brat? Don't interrupt my date with Xiaoxiao."

The moment he hung up, his younger brother, Lin Chifeng, took his last breath.

I sent Lin Chiwei a text:

We couldn't save your brother.

But he called back excitedly:

"Quick, take the body to Xiaoxiao's studio. Her sculpture is missing a model."

I fell silent. So he'd thought it was my brother who had died.

Five minutes later, Song Xiaoxiao's assistant arrived in a van and took his brother's body away.
