I Ate Vegetarian with My Husband for Ten Years, but He Secretly Ate Meat with My Best Friend Behind My Back

After my husband was in a car accident ten years ago, he devoted himself to Buddhism and made me eat vegetarian too.

At first, whenever I smelled meat, I'd swallow hard, but he'd look at me with disgust.

"The Buddha saved my life. How dare you eat meat? Are you cursing me to die?"

All I could do was swallow my saliva in frustration.

In the fifth year of our vegetarian diet, Lin Shuofeng's career took off.

But because I wasn't getting enough nutrition, I couldn't get pregnant.

At a gathering of businessmen's wives, I couldn't bear the other women teasing me any longer, so I got up to go to the restroom.

As I passed a private room, I heard Lin Shuofeng's voice.

"Yaoyao, eat more meat. It'll help the baby in your belly grow big and strong."

Lin Shuofeng and my best friend Chen Yao were drinking and eating meat with gusto. I was so shocked that I fainted from exhaustion.

When I woke up, Lin Shuofeng was supporting Chen Yao, and Chen Yao had a hand on her belly.

The two of them sat by my hospital bed without the slightest shame.

Before either could say a word, I picked up my phone and made a call.

"Mr. Wu, I'll join your project. Please arrange my schedule as soon as possible."
