After My Bridal Sedan Was Switched with the Enemy Princess's, My Betrothed Prince Consort Regretted It Bitterly

To help Xiao Huaijing keep the army's morale steady, I rode at his side and oversaw the troops. The moment he saw Yue Mi, the princess of the enemy kingdom, she stole his heart. When we returned to the capital, our wedding day was drawing near. I was sitting in a secret chamber in the Hidden Sleeve Pavilion when I unexpectedly overheard Xiao Huaijing plotting with his deputy general:

"General, are you really going to switch Her Highness Youruyi's bridal sedan with that of the princess from the fallen kingdom?"

"What do you mean, princess from a fallen kingdom? Yue Mi is the love of my life!"

Xiao Huaijing suddenly raised his voice, silencing the deputy general, who hastened to flatter him:

"General, you're brilliant. You've managed to bring both princesses into your household at once!"

"But aren't you afraid Her Highness Youruyi will be furious...?"

Xiao Huaijing was unconcerned.

"Youruyi and I have been through life and death together and sworn eternal vows. She'd never have the heart to leave me!"

I nearly crushed the button to the secret chamber in my grip. Only when my tears fell onto my hand did I realize I was crying.

Since his heart had changed, those eternal vows could only last until the seas ran dry and the stones crumbled.
