The God of Generosity, Bound by His Ex-Wife’s KPI Obsession

Zhou Ming, a real estate agent at the bottom of the sales rankings, is suddenly conscripted by the God of Wealth and ordered to meet a huge “giveaway” KPI within a week. The System’s number-one target for his largesse turns out to be his ex-wife, Su Qing, whose antique shop on Antique Street is on the verge of closing. They have been divorced for three years. And so the most put-upon proxy God of Wealth in history is born: he has to rack his brains for ways to help his ex-wife find valuable antiques and get rich, all without revealing who he is. As Su Qing goes from suspicion to delight and her shop springs back to life, Zhou Ming frets over his allowance, which he can’t spend quickly enough. Only when an antique-street kingpin sets a trap and mysterious misfortune gets in the way does he realize that this mission is about more than passing his divine-service assessment. It is also a chance to mend their broken past and redefine “wealth” and “protection.” When the last stroke of good fortune has been delivered and his divine powers vanish, he clutches the token of their love, long since bought back, and hears his ex-wife invite him: “My shop needs a partner who brings good luck. Could your old-house connections come in handy?”
