Hey, God of War, Dinner’s Ready

Don’t interrupt Lu Chenzhou while he’s cooking. In this new era of the apocalypse, every supernatural being has learned that lesson through blood and tears. The most popular restaurant owner on Food Street only wants to tie on his apron and quietly feed the sharp-tongued little girl he picked up. He has no idea that this little one, who complains every day that he’s “too weak,” is a wicked immortal from the celestial realm, reborn, using her mind-reading powers to eavesdrop on everyone in the restaurant, from picky diners to a disguised delivery worker, and even the mutated monsters eyeing them hungrily from outside the window. When Xiao Jiu points a lollipop at an SSS-ranked fugitive and innocently says, “Daddy, this uncle is thinking about how to blow us up,” Lu Chenzhou sighs and sets down his spatula. That night, the legend of the Starry Sky God of War awakens once more amid the everyday warmth of human life. This is the story of a hidden powerhouse of a dad and his adorable mind-reading little devil, who run a restaurant while casually saving the world in an apocalypse where spiritual qi has revived, and find redemption in one another.
