The Moonlight Ferry in My Heart

Su Wangui has spent ten years drifting through the city. An unexpected surgery finally brings her hurried life to a halt. As she sorts through her mother's belongings, a rusty copper anchor pendant stirs every memory she has of her hometown, Qingchuan Ferry. There is the gently flowing Qingchuan River, the moonlit ferry crossing that stays bright all night, the old stories her grandmother told while fanning herself, and the regrets she never voiced as a girl. Exhausted and yearning for home, she boards a train back to the small ferry town that time seems to have favored. Here, as life slows down, the moonlight is still gentle and the ferry is still waiting. Long-buried memories and feelings once kept apart by distance gradually come into focus to the sound of the Qingchuan River. Reconnecting with her hometown, Su Wangui slowly heals her inner wounds and finds the self she had lost. She also comes to understand that some ties are always hidden in the moonlight of the heart, never truly far away.
