I Kicked Out a Terrible Tenant, and She Called the Police and Accused Me of Voyeurism

I kicked out a woman who had been behind on rent for ages and throwing parties in the apartment. But she went straight to the police, then showed up outside my home with officers and reporters, sobbing that I’d filled her room with hidden cameras. “It’s him! This landlord is a sick old pervert. He spies on me showering and getting changed every day!” “I found several cameras, all pointed at my bed and bathroom!” “He must have videos of me. I can’t even bear to think about it. I can’t go on!” I became the neighborhood’s most hated “Peeping Tom.” Facing the cameras, I said nothing. This woman must not have known that I’d only retired from the Ministry of State Security’s counter-surveillance division a few years ago. Those disguised cameras she bought online were obsolete models my team had developed back then.
