Ambitions on the Azure Sea: Founding a Nation in the South Seas

Modern engineer Lin Ze transmigrated to the turbulent final years of the Qing dynasty, becoming the son of a small landowner on the southeastern coast. Resolutely leading his clansmen across the seas, he struggled to establish a foothold in the Philippines under Spanish colonial rule. With foresight and a technological golden finger far ahead of its time, he built cities, trained troops, and promoted education and science, quietly rising to prominence amid the encircling powers.

The Spanish-American War and the World Wars presented opportunities. He read the situation and established the “Huaxia Kingdom of the South Seas,” pursuing permanent neutrality. He devoted his life to creating a utopia with a navy that dominated the Asia-Pacific and technology unrivaled across the globe. From humble beginnings to prosperity, he and his first wife supported each other through thick and thin and witnessed three generations carry on their legacy. Together, they transformed a small South Seas island into a technological fortress and oasis of peace that even Japan dared not covet, writing a legendary epic of nation-building.
